What are cookies?

Cookies are small amounts of information that a web site copies to the hard disk on you computer and helps the web site identify you the next time you visit. Are cookies dangerous, why are my cookies not enabled?

Some browsers and Internet service providers may not automatically allow cookies to be sent. If cookies are blocked you will not be able to complete an order on our site.

How to enable cookies

You will need to change your browser settings to enable you to receive cookies and the following guidance tells you how to do this for two popular Internet browsers. If in doubt then use the 'Help' facility on your browser or consult your browser software provider.

Netscape version 6.x:

1. Click the Edit menu and select Preferences at the bottom of the menu - A preferences box will open
2. Double-click on the Advanced category, which will expand the options available
3. Click the Cookies option underneath the expanded menu
4. In the right-hand window pane, click the radio button next to Enable all cookies
5. To stop Netscape displaying a warning dialog when you enter a site which uses Cookies, remove the cross (if there is one) from "Warn me before storing a cookie" by clicking the box
6. To save the changes, click OK in the Preference box

Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.x:

1) Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options at the bottom of the menu - An Internet Options box will open
2) Click the Security tab (second tab from the left) and click the Custom Level… button
3) Scroll down to the Cookies section, and change the following options: Allow cookies that are stored on your computer to Enable and Allow per-session cookies (not stored) to Enable
4) Click on OK at the bottom of the box to save your changes, then OK again to return to Internet Explorer
